Game 3 of the Sixers second round matchup vs the Hawks tips-off tonight in Atlanta at 7:30 (ESPN). With the series locked up at one game apiece, I expect this to be another tight contest—here’s four props (and one bonus) to bet on for tonight’s matchup.
Game total: OVER 224.5 points (-110)
I was initially leaning toward the Under, but I think Atlanta will want to speed this game up in front of their home crowd. On top of that, both teams have executed strong in the half-court through two games and I can’t see either going cold in a way that would anchor the total like we saw in last night’s Brooklyn-Milwaukee matchup.
Ben Simmons OVER 13.5 points (-108)
Ben scored in single digits ten times this season, and on seven of those occasions he followed it up with 14+ points in the next game. After scoring just six points in Game 1 of the Wizards series he followed that up with a playoff-high 22 in Game 2. Expect a similar bounce back tonight after only scoring 4 points in the last matchup.
Bogdanovic OVER 3.5 made threes (+114)
The volume is always going to be there for Bogdanovic, and the Sixers will continue to skew their coverage toward Trae Young and his lobs more and more as the series goes on. He knocked down 5/12 in Game 1 and I expect similar numbers at home here in Game 3.
Joel Embiid OVER 2.5 assists (-132)
Over 3.5 assists at +180 is more appealing from a value perspective, but either way I think Joel makes a concerted effort to slow the game down vs double teams in the face of a raucous road environment. He only has six total dimes through two games in this series, and I think he finds a groove passing the ball tonight.
BONUS: Ben Simmons to record a triple double (+800)
Why not?
