Jake Fromm, Georgia
Jake Fromm actually took Eason’s starting job at Georgia, forcing the quarterback to transfer to Washington for his final year. Eason has all the physical tools that give him a high ceiling in the NFL, which makes him a sexier NFL prospect. Fromm lacks some of those exciting physical traits.
He’s a “what you see if what you get” kind of quarterback. His pure talent won’t jump off the screen at you, but he’s mentally sound and a very reliable quarterback.
Fromm may not be very appealing to Pederson, who usually prefers someone with raw talent that he can develop, but Fromm would still fit well in Pederson’s west coast system.
He may never be a superb starter in the NFL, but his upside as a solid backup is clearly there, which is all the Eagles will need him to be.
